Getting Started in Stained Glass Art

My first attempt at stained glass art. It took a few tries but I figured out a good technique that worked. We go over the tools needed for cutting glass and soldering. A great way to add color and beauty to your pieces.

Trace Oeight : My wife and i are self-taught and operate a small business with all sorts of glass and wood art. Some recommendations:
1) give jell flux a try. It works much better.
2) while you can do the work with the iron you have (i did at first) get a better one. Do some research on stained glass irons. It will make the work so much easier and look so much better.
3) you really should break the sharp edges with a diamond pad, stone or grinder. It's safer for you and less likely to cut the foil.
Good luck and have fun. It is great to see people pick this up. It is nearly a lost art.
Sean Leach : Love the fact that you highlighted the “failure” (the rubix was still cool David!), and how you got out of it.

Subscribed because you are branching out of just woodworking. Keep up the good work!
PhunKiss Artistic Creations : Thank you for being real and showing us that the first few attempts don't always come out perfectly. Please keep on trying new things, we love being along for the journey!
Matt Steers : 11:40 missed.

Anyone else wish there was an uncensored Picciuto channel? David, I think you and Dan are hilarious and a raw and real dive into you guys just doing stuff would be awesome.
Paul Urbaniak : I love the energy in your videos, just making something (channel name, eh?) because you feel like it. And that is absolutely amazing! I get inspired by every video you post, and maybe spent way too much stupid money on this hobby ;-)
Thank you!

How to Draw a Glass of Water

Learn how to draw a realistic glass of water in this drawing lesson. For more on this lesson, visit: https://thevirtualinstructor.com/blog/how-to-draw-a-glass-of-water

There you will find the photo reference and a step by step breakdown of the drawing process.

A variety of graphite pencils and white charcoal is used on toned gray drawing paper to create the illusion of transparency and reflection. Blending stumps are used to smooth transitions of value and tone. This combination results in a realistic pencil drawing.

Alya T : Your lessons are really valuable
Thank you so much
Christine Ioannidou : I've been trying for an hour or so to get to a watercolour tutorial in your channel, yet I cannot help it!! I'm watching one by one your videos, and I had to thank you for this. The tutorials and explanations are awesome
Michael P : You a good teacher Matt. Some of the YTers just "show" and provide little instruction - thank you
Rick B : A beautiful result with extreme detail. I guess the paper is toned brighter than 50% gray, about the 2nd from the top on your gray scale. It looks like you have vertical shades on the window to the left as your primary light source. Thanks for sharing.
Erika Ngabonzima : This reminds me to drawing class... All the measuring ;)
Ended up not doing that a lot but your results show its worth it... So realistic
